Educational Requirements for the Science Safety Coordinator Role:
- Non-degree to advanced degree holders (BS/BA, MS/MA, PharmD) in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Relevant experience in safety, medical affairs, clinical data management, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance is considered equivalent.
Key Responsibilities of the Science Safety Coordinator Role:

- Maintain adverse event tracking systems and project documentation.
- Log and forward AE/SAE reports to central tracking systems.
- Enter safety data, code adverse events using MedDRA, and write patient narratives.
- Conduct listedness assessments for marketed products and query missing/discrepant data.
- Submit SAE reports to clients, regulatory authorities, ethics committees, investigators, vendors, and partners.
- Assist with peer/quality reviews, trend analysis, and database reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, departmental work instructions, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare safety study files for archiving and coordinate meetings/teleconferences.
- Train and mentor peers in daily safety operations.
