Clinical Data Management Job Overview:
Provide basic and some comprehensive data management expertise to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team to deliver efficient, quality data management products that meet customer needs. May also undertake team leadership activities under the supervision of the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, or related field
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Data Specialist Role serve as Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for protocols with small teams or moderate complexity studies
- Lead specific data management tasks, including coding, testing, or database design
- Act as back-up to DOC or DTL when required
- Conduct data reviews and resolve data clarifications
- Lead database audit teams and assist in database development and testing
- Perform clinical data coding and testing, adhering to standard procedures
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with CDM teams
