Position Details
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Code 004
- No. of Positions: 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 55% marks in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Animal Sciences, or Life Sciences from a recognized university or institute. Candidates must be NET/NET(LS)/GATE qualified.
- Desirable Qualification: One year of research experience in cell culture, molecular biology, protein expression, or purification.
- Stipend: ₹37,000 + HRA per month
- Age Limit: 28 years (Relaxation as per CSIR guidelines)
- Project Title: CSIR (EMS2001) – “Understanding noncanonical functions of chaperonin TCP1 complex subunit(s) and DnaJ protein(s) of Leishmania donovani.”
- Tenure: Up to 30 June 2026
2. Project Associate-I – Code 005
- No. of Positions: 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, or Toxicology or equivalent.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in animal handling, pathology, and regulatory/non-regulatory GLP studies.
- Stipend: ₹25,000 + 20% HRA per month
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Project Title: CSIR (IHP0038) – “Safety and risk assessment – GLP and Non-Regulatory GLP Studies.”
- Tenure: Up to 31 March 2026
3. Project Associate-I – Code 006
- No. of Positions: 01
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany, Biotechnology, or Plant Sciences from a recognized institution. With CSIR UGC/ICMR/ICAR, NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship, or GATE, OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions
- Stipend: ₹31,000 + 18% HRA per month
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Project: CSIR (MMP075201) – “CSIR Phytopharmaceutical Mission (Phase-3)”
- Tenure: Up to 31 March 2026

Selection Process
- Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will appear before the Selection Committee for an interview.
- Depending on the number of candidates, a written test may be conducted to shortlist applicants.
- Final selection will be based on interview performance.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
General Conditions
- These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the respective projects.
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwBD as per the Government of India rules.
- The total engagement period under CSIR projects shall not exceed 6 years, extendable to 7 years for industry-funded projects.
- Project staff are eligible for medical consultation at CSIR dispensaries and leave as per CSIR norms.
