Role Overview
We are looking for a Physician Assistant to join our Histopathology Department. The selected candidate will assist pathologists in the preparation, dissection, and evaluation of tissue specimens. The role requires strong knowledge of medical sciences and precision in specimen handling to support accurate diagnosis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pathologists during gross examination and dissection of surgical and biopsy specimens.
- Prepare and label tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Maintain specimen and result entries in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Support autopsy tissue collection, documentation, and preservation when required.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with technicians and administrative teams for smooth lab operations.
- Participate in training programs and continuous learning to stay current with histopathology techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile laboratory environment at all times.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of human anatomy, histology, and pathology.
- High level of attention to detail and care in specimen handling.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and safety practices.
- Proficient in medical terminology and laboratory documentation.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on experience and qualification)
