Name of the Post: Principal Scientist (Downstream Processing)
Location: Bengaluru
Job description
Technical/functional skills:
• Experience in Downstream unit operations such as Chromatography (AKTA Avant, AKTA Pure or similar), Filtration and TFF systems and a thorough understanding of the theory and techniques
• Experience in recombinant protein purification from mammalian cells
• Ability to design, troubleshoot and execute experiments with minimal supervision
• Experience analysing data, interpreting results and reporting data
• Good documentation practice is essential and experience with electronic laboratory notebook is preferred
• Ability to communicate ideas, concepts and presentation skills
• Protein biochemistry and downstream process development
• Process characterization for late stage biologicals
Key responsibilities:
• Responsible for process development activities such as Capture, purify, Polish, concentrate, final filtration, etc
• Planning and execution of Downstream experiments with minimal supervision and follow GDP
• Sampling, testing and analysis of intermediate process samples
• Compile data and prepare reports
• Participate in scale-up and technology transfer to Pilot
• Prepare and review technical protocols and reports
• Author/review operational procedures such as SOP, IOP and EOP
• Grooming the junior team members with adequate technical and soft skill development support
Education and Qualifications:

MS/MSc/MTech Degree with an industry experience of 5–7 Years
