Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this Assay Biologist Job role is to support the execution and optimization of cell-based and biochemical assays for drug discovery programs. The candidate will contribute to assay development, validation, and data analysis to generate reliable, high-quality results. This Research Associate Role plays a key role in supporting research scientists to advance Syngene’s mission of delivering innovative solutions to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners. The ideal candidate getting hired for this Research Associate Role will have to ensure the smooth running of multiple cell-based and biochemical assays while maintaining the highest quality and integrity of data and meeting established timelines.
Key Responsibilities in this Assay Biologist Job:
- Assist research scientists in planning, executing, and interpreting molecular and cellular experiments.
- In this Research Associate Role, you have to perform cell-based assays such as luminescence, fluorescence, FRET, and radio assays.
- Maintain compliance with all environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
- Participate in regular EHS training and ensure lab safety standards.
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc in Life Sciences or related field
Technical/Functional Skills required for the Research Associate Role:
- Strong expertise in mammalian cell culture and biochemical assays.
- Hands-on experience with TR-FRET, HTRF, fluorescence intensity, AlphaScreen, radioactive, and luminescence-based assays.
- This Assay Biologist Job requires experience in ELISA and Luminex for cytokine estimation is an advantage.
- Exposure to human primary cells, tissue samples, and flow cytometry preferred.
- Familiarity with RT-PCR and Western blotting techniques desirable.
- Candidates appearing for the Assay Biologist Job must be proficient in data analysis using GraphPad Prism, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent pipetting and laboratory automation handling skills.
- Sound knowledge of assay QC parameters and cross-functional teamwork.

1 – 3 Years of relevant experience post-qualification
