- Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in plant genetics and biotechnology focusing on bacterial wilt resistance in tomato plants.
- Perform genetic transformation of Solanaceae plants such as tomato or chili.
- Work on genomics, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), molecular cloning, and gene editing technologies like CRISPR-Cas.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative tools for agricultural research.
- Eligibility Criteria For Agricultural Sciences Job Opportunity
- Education: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.
- National Level Qualifications: CSIR-UGC-NET (including lectureship), GATE, or other national-level examinations by Central Government Departments (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.).
- Desirable Experience:
- Genetic transformation of Solanaceae plants.
- Expertise in genomics, GWAS, and molecular cloning for gene editing technologies like CRISPR-Cas.
- Age Limit
- Not more than 35 years as of the closing date of the advertisement. Age relaxation as per the Government rules.
