BRIC–Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, enrolls candidates for various Agriculture Research Jobs. They are now conducting a walk-in interview for the position of Project Associate-I. This position is part of an ANRF-funded research project exploring multiomics-driven insights into host immunity and therapeutic approaches for diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) healing using seaweed-based compounds from the Odisha coast.

- Fellowship:
₹37,000/- + HRA (with National Eligibility Test qualification such as CSIR-UGC NET/GATE)
₹30,000/- + HRA (without any National Eligibility Test qualification)
- Age Limit: 30 years as on 27.10.2025 (Relaxation as per Govt. of India rules)
- Tenure: Initially for 1 year, extendable up to 2.5 years based on performance

Educational Requirements:
Applicants for the Agriculture Research Jobs should possess one of the following:
- Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, or
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/BVSc/B. Pharm, or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Experience for Agriculture Research Jobs :
- Knowledge in basic Molecular Biology
- Hands-on experience in patient tissue sample collection & processing
- Experience in primary cell culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting experimental research under the ANRF-funded project.
- Performing molecular biology assays, tissue analysis, and data interpretation.
- Assisting in maintaining cell culture systems and handling patient-derived samples.
- Supporting the PI in project documentation and progress reporting.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Molecular Biology techniques
- Laboratory skills in cell culture and sample handling
- Analytical and research interpretation skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with scientific documentation and data management
