Job Description:

Field Biologist Role Purpose:

  • As a Field Biologist, you have to conduct in-house trials mainly in Hub and surrounding areas, aligning with the country trial plan.
  • Maintain overall Hub development and participate in technical support and product development activities.
  • Develop trial plans, implement them efficiently, and collaborate with contact farmers for in-house product testing.
  • In this Field Biologist Job, you will support product registration activities through trials and monitor market and competitor activities in the assigned territory.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams and SBUs as needed.

Accountabilities:

  • In this Field Biologist Role, you have to conduct, evaluate, and report on field trials ensuring they meet development goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Participate in data review meetings, interpret and present data for product development decisions.
  • Select contact farmers and suitable locations to ensure trial success; plan alternatives in case of failures.
  • Lead coordination and ensure resource availability for in-house and registration trials.
  • As a Field Biologist, you should work closely with agricultural institutes for registration trials and provide timely, high-quality reports.
  • Support sales teams technically and track competitor activities ethically.
  • Regularly report trial progress and product performance, staying alert to emerging pest or crop issues.

Qualifications & Key Skills:

  • For the Field Biologist Role, you must have Postgraduate degree in Agricultural Sciences, preferably in crop protection.
  • Strong technical knowledge in research, replicated trials, data analysis, and pesticide chemistry.
  • Understanding of local crops, pests, and farming needs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with farmers.
  • 2–6 years of field experience in trial management and product evaluation.
