Position Overview

  • Position: Project Assistant (1 No.)
  • Project Title: “Development of improved agrotechnologies for Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa), Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris), Vasaka (Justicia adhatoda), Shankhapushpi (Evolvulus alsinoides), and Varun (Crataeva nurvala) for enhanced livelihood of farmers in Maharashtra.”

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Essential Qualifications
      • B.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry / Biotechnology
      • OR 3-year Diploma in Agriculture
      • Keen interest in medicinal plant cultivation and agronomic research
    • Desirable Qualifications
      • Experience in field trials, medicinal plant cultivation, and biochemical analysis
      • Knowledge of crop improvement techniques and sustainable agriculture practices
  • Age Limit
    • Up to 50 years (Relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules)
  • Key Responsibilities: As part of this Agricultural Job at MACS-ARI, the candidate will:
    • Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of medicinal plants, including Punarnava, Gokshura, Vasaka, Shankhapushpi, and Varun.
    • Support and conduct field trials for agrotechnology improvement.
    • Perform biochemical analysis of plant samples.
    • Document experimental results and contribute to SOP preparation.
    • Ensure laboratory and field safety compliance.
