About the Institute:

The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (BRIC- inStem) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine invites applications for the following positions under various projects funded by ICMR and DBT:

Position Available

POST I

Project Research Scientist – (Non-Medical) -I

Monthly Emoluments: ₹56,000/m + 27% HRA

No. of Posts: 01 (one)

Age Limit:

35 years

Qualification & Experience: First Class Post-Graduate degree. Prior experience in molecular and cellular biology research, OR Experience in next-generation sequencing analysis

Job Description: Develop, optimize, and validate stem cell-derived organoids and functional characterization, OR NGS data analysis. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team

POST II

Project Associate II

Monthly Emoluments: ₹35,000/m + 27% HRA (Net Qualified) | ₹28,000/m + HRA (Non-Net Qualified)

No. of Posts: 01 (one)

Age Limit: 35 years

Qualification & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine with 2 years of experience in research and development.
  • Prior experience in molecular and cellular biology research, OR Experience in next-generation sequencing analysis

Job Description: Perform research requiring cell biology techniques, including cell culture, transfection, microscopy, and cell-based assays. Generate and characterize patient-derived stem cell lines

Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on the institute’s requirements and grant review.
