The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, is inviting applications for one Project Associate-I and one Lab Technician under the project “Surveillance of avian viruses in poultry farm environment in the neighborhood of BRIC-NIAB of Telangana State”, funded by NCBSTIFR. Position 1: Project Associate-I
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Natural/Agricultural Sciences OR
- Master’s degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / B.Pharma OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine (recognized university).
Salary:
- ₹37,000 + HRA (with NET or equivalent national exam qualification).
- ₹30,000 + HRA (without NET qualification).
Desired Experience:
-
Hands-on experience in RNA/DNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, cloning, and cell culture handling.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Duration: 1 year (renewable based on performance until project completion).
Position 2: Lab Technician
Essential Qualification:
- 12th in Science + Diploma + 3 years’ lab experience OR
- Graduate degree in a relevant Science subject.
Desirable:

2 years’ experience in a molecular biology laboratory with a Graduation.
Salary: ₹20,000/- (consolidated).
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Duration: 1 year (renewable based on performance until project completion).
