This role, based in Bangalore, will be part of the Physical Sciences team and contribute to developing the next generation
of personal care products by studying novel actives that improve skin health and skin feel.Job Purpose
In this Research Executive Role in Skin Benefits, you will join a cross-disciplinary team dedicated to personal care innovations. You will explore active compounds, develop analytical methods, and collaborate with global R&D experts to create new product design rules that drive Unilever’s innovation pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project leaders to study emerging technologies in personal care.
- Investigate the skin benefits of formulation ingredients and novel active components.
- Develop analytical characterization techniques to study active-skin interactions.
- Build external collaborations to expand product characterization capabilities.
- Design and conduct lab-scale experiments to establish product design principles.
- Support the transition of technologies from S&T to Design teams.
- Analyze data, prepare reports, and leverage digital tools for modeling and insights.
- Communicate research findings effectively across teams and geographies.
Key Requirements
- BE/BTech (2–8 years) or MS/MTech (1–6 years) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or Materials Science.
- Open to MS/MTech freshers in relevant fields.
- Strong foundation in interfacial and colloid sciences.
- Experience with personal care product formats and characterization techniques.
- Proven scientific problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of surfactant/colloid science, as well as physical chemistry, is preferred.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for global teamwork.
