Walk-in-Interview for Research Associate-I and Project Associate-I

BRIC-NIPGR is conducting a walk-in interview for the positions of Research Associate-I and Project Associate-I on September 17, 2025. The positions are for a Gates Foundation-funded project on the “Development of climate resilient chickpea and brassica by gene editing” under the supervision of Dr. SenthilKumar Muthappa.

About the Project

The positions are available under a Gates Foundation–funded project titled: “Development of Climate Resilient Chickpea and Brassica by Gene Editing”
This project, led by Dr. Senthil-Kumar Muthappa (Scientist, NIPGR), aims to use advanced gene editing tools to enhance crop resilience against climate change.

BRIC NIPGR Jobs 2025 – Available Positions

  1. Research Associate-I (One Post)
  • Emoluments: ₹58,000/- + 27% HRA per month
  • Eligibility:
    • PhD in Life Sciences with a strong publication record (at least one SCI research paper).
    • Prior experience in chickpea-pathogen interaction studies.
    • Desirable: Experience in chickpea transformation.

2. Project Associate-I (One Post)

  • Emoluments: ₹25,000/- + 27% HRA per month
  • Eligibility:
    • Master’s degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent).
    • Experience in genetic transformation and gene editing.
    • Desirable: Prior work with chickpea systems.
