Research Associate Job at BRIC-NIPGR – Position Details
- Post: Research Associate-I (One Position)
- Project: ANRF-EMEQ – “Exploring non-host plant defense mechanisms to combat dry root rot disease in Chickpeas under Drought Stress Conditions”
- Location: BRIC – National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110067
- Date of Interview: Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. onwards
- Emoluments: ₹58,000/- + HRA (as per DBT/DST norms)
Research Associate Job at BRIC-NIPGR – Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Computational Biology/Bioinformatics.
- Publications: At least one research paper in a SCI journal.
- Experience Required:
- Strong background in RNA-seq data analysis.
- Proficiency in computational biology & bioinformatics.
- Preferably: Experience in plant-pathogen interaction studies and identifying candidate metabolites/genes/pathways involved in defense responses.
- As per Guidelines: Must fulfill DST-OM number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023.
Important Information
- Nature of Position: Purely temporary, co-terminus with the project.
- Tenure: Initially one year; extendable based on performance and project duration.
- Termination: Either side can terminate with one month’s notice.
- No Claim for Permanent Position: The appointment does not guarantee any regular NIPGR post.
