Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Recruitment at NIFTEM, Sonipat

Position Details:
- Designation: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Number of Positions: One (01)
- Duration: 24 months or co-terminus with the project (whichever is earlier)
- Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- per month + 10% HRA
- Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or allied disciplines.
- Experience: Minimum two years of research experience in the relevant field.
Scholars must be selected through:
- National Eligibility Tests (CSIR/UGC/ASRB NET including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) and GATE, OR
- National-level examinations conducted by Central Government agencies such as DST, DBT, ICAR, DRDO, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable Qualifications:

Research training in food fermentation, molecular biology techniques, advanced analytical instruments, and working with animal and human cell lines.
Age Limit:

Maximum 32 years (relaxation of 5 years for women/SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled candidates as per Govt. of India rules).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in food fermentation, vitamin isolation, and protein/amino acid composition analysis.
- Evaluate nutritional benefits of fermentation extracts in cell lines and animal models of metabolic diseases.
- Work on nutrigenomics, metagenomics, and product formulation.
- Assess micronutrient bioavailability using cell line models.
- Assist in preparing project reports and ensure timely submissions to the funding agency.
