Position Details

  • Post: Junior Research Assistant (JRA)
  • Number of Vacancies: 01
  • Project Duration: 3 years (co-terminus with project)
  • Tenure: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance
  • Fellowship / Salary
  • First 2 years (JRA): ₹25,000/- per month (consolidated)
  • 3rd year (Senior Research Assistant – SRA): ₹28,000/- per month (consolidated)

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Botany, Life Sciences, Plant Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioscience, Biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Minimum First Division in both Graduate and Postgraduate levels.
  • Candidates with higher qualifications are also eligible.

Desirable Skills

  • Research experience in plant biology, molecular biology techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis, etc.), and plant tissue culture.
  • NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.
  • Experience working with stress biology or protein regulation will be an advantage.

Age Limit

  • 28 years as of 01.04.2025
  • Relaxation as per GoI rules for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.
