TERI is seeking a Project Associate to join its research team at TERI-Gram. The role involves microbial isolation, culture optimization, and advanced molecular studies, with opportunities to contribute to impactful scientific publications and research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Isolate, culture, and maintain microbial strains from soil and plant sources.
- Optimize microbial growth conditions through microscopy, growth curves, and related parameters.
- Identify microbial strains using microscopic and molecular methods
- Document findings, maintain laboratory records, and prepare technical reports/publications
- Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with biosafety protocols
MSc Job at TERI – Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- National eligibility tests, such as CSIR-NET, GATE, or equivalent national-level examinations (e.g., DST, DBT).
Experience and Skills
- 1–3 years of relevant research experience
- Proficiency in microbial isolation, culturing, and metabolite screening
- Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and scientific writing skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative research environment
