Engagement to the position of Project Associate – I/II (PAT-I/ PAT-II)
CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, a constituent National Laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), desires to engage qualified candidates as Project Associate – I/II (PAT-I/ PAT-II) purely on temporary contractual basis on the below-mentioned projects:
For the project entitled “Bioresource conservation and prospection” (MMP025302) the engagement is initially for a period up to March 31, 2026, funded by CSIR, tenable at the Department of Plant Cell Biotechnology, CSIR- CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka.
The details are as follows:

Stipend & HRA:

For PAT-I: 25,000/- + HRA

For PAT-II: 28,000/- + HRA

Essential Qualification:

For Project Associate-II (PAT-II): M.Sc. in Food Science, Microbiology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Molecular Biology and 2 years of relevant experience in Research and Development in Industrial/ Research Institutions.

For Project Associate-I (PAT-I): M.Sc. in Food Science, Microbiology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Molecular Biology.
Job Requirements:
Expertise in food product development and formulation with specialization in nutritional and secondary metabolite analysis.

Desirable Qualification/Experience:

PAT-II: Experience in food product development and formulation with nutritional and secondary metabolites analysis.
Note: The position is at the level of Project Associate–II (PAT-II). If no suitable candidate is found, applications from eligible Project Associate–I (PAT-I) candidates may be considered.
Note: As per CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024, engagement of Project Staff shall be co-terminus with the term of the Project subject to the condition that the total period of the engagement of a Project Staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. or different Lab/Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. Hence, the applicants who have completed the total tenure of 6 years in any of the CSIR Lab/Instt. as Project Staff are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the aforesaid positions.
