Life Sciences JRF Opening 2025 – Job Overview
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (One position)
- Location: ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Hebbal, Bengaluru – 560024, Karnataka
- Mode: Purely Contractual
- Duration: 1 year, extendable up to August 2028 or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier
- Essential Qualification
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course.
- Selection through one of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship), GATE.
- Central government departments and agencies, such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, and IISER, conduct national-level examinations.
- Desirable Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in:
- Cloning & recombinant protein expression in prokaryotic systems
- Protein purification (Ni-NTA Affinity Chromatography)
- PCR, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting
- Strong scientific writing skills
- 1–2 years’ experience in:
- Age Limit
- 35 years for men
- 40 years for women (as on the date of advertisement)
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & PH candidates as per the Government of India rules
- Emoluments
- ₹37,000/- + HRA (1st & 2nd year)
- ₹42,000/- + HRA (3rd year)
