JRF Life Sciences Job – Position Details

  • Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Fellowship Amount: ₹31,000 + HRA per month
  • Tenure: 5 months (extendable based on performance)
  • Location: IISER Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Minimum Educational Qualification (as prescribed by DBT)
      • Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or other relevant subjects.
      • Scholars must qualify through any of the following national-level eligibility processes:
        • CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE qualified.
        • Selection through national-level examinations conducted by central government agencies such as DBT, DST, DAE, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, or ICMR.
    • Desirable Qualifications
      • Strong motivation for basic research in biology.
      • Academic excellence with a working knowledge of:
        • Molecular biology techniques
        • Biochemistry methods
        • Imaging techniques
  • Age Limit
    • 32 years (relaxable by 3–5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and PwD candidates as per government norms).
