Project Details
- Project Title: Exploring the marine ecosystems for novel bioresources with human health and industrial significance.
- Project Duration: Up to 31.03.2026 (subject to annual performance appraisal and GoI orders).
Position 1: Project Scientist – I
- Number of Posts: 02
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years
- Salary: ₹56,000/- per month + 18% HRA
- Essential Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Science OR Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences with expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, pharmacy, virology, marine biology, natural products chemistry, drug screening, bioprospecting, proteomics, and metabolomics.
- Hands-on experience with NGS, LC/MS-MS, HPLC, UHPLC, mass spectrometry, purification, and characterization of natural products.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Position 2: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Number of Posts: 01
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years
- Salary: ₹42,000/- per month + 18% HRA
- Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Pharm / M.V.Sc. in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Virology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Microbiology, etc.) with minimum 55% marks + 2 years research experience.
- Preference to NET/GATE/GPAT qualified candidates.
- Desirable Qualification:
- 2+ years of research experience in biotechnology, drug screening, bioprospecting, proteomics, microbiology, and mass spectrometry.
- Hands-on experience in NGS (16S rRNA sequencing), molecular biology, microbial work, and clinical sample handling.
- Skills in computational biology, machine learning, database development, programming/simulations.
