Job Overview
As an Associate Scientific Editor at USP, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, readability, and consistency of USP’s documentary standards. This non-supervisory position involves conducting editorial reviews, proofreading, managing XML content, and collaborating with scientific experts to ensure accurate and effective communication. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of USP publications, helping strengthen global access to high-quality medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread scientific materials across USP publications, ensuring clarity, style compliance, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with scientific experts to incorporate corrections and enhance content quality.
- Perform copyediting for grammar, syntax, spelling, and structure.
- Apply XML tagging to scientific content and validate against USP guidelines.
- Manage editorial workflows, documentation updates, and process alignment.
- Coordinate with the publication and science divisions to ensure timely project delivery.
- Uphold the scientific integrity and intent of subject matter experts.
Freshers Scientific Editor Job – Qualifications and Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Life Sciences, or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in editing and proofreading (books, journals, or scientific publications).
