Job Description
As a Deputy Manager and PD specification writer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the criteria for ingredient (ING) and non-ingredient (Non ING) specifications are met. You will play a key role in migrating legacy
specifications to the new SAP system. You will provide ongoing support to Product Developers, ensuring all new specifications align with global standards and requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Specification Management: Drive the accurate migration of legacy ingredient and non-ingredient specifications into the new SAP system and validate them with regional teams.
- Collaboration: Work with regional cross-functional teams and external resources to create precise and accurate specifications.
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend areas for process improvements to R&D Leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Support: Ensure all requests are processed within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Raise necessary change requests (CRs) on behalf of R&D teams when required.
- Proficiency: Become proficient in PepsiCo’s PLM and SW systems, including the CAST Program and associated IT applications.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Safety, Food Technology, Food Science, or Microbiology is required. A Master’s degree is desired.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a technical role within Regulatory, QA/QC, Food Analysis, or other Food-related FMCG. At least 1-2 years of experience in Product Development or Specification Writing is required.
- Skills:
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Practical written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Confident in presenting to senior leaders.
- Demonstrates learning agility, self-motivation, and a desire for continuous improvement.
- A team player who can work well with cross-functional, cross-regional, and cross-cultural teams.
- Capable of working independently and taking the initiative for problem-solving.
