Role Highlights:
- Lead product development from concept to launch, including prototyping, sensory evaluation, shelf-life studies, and regulatory documentation.
- Renovate and improve existing product lines for better taste, nutrition, and shelf-life while ensuring compliance with FSSAI and global safety standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, operations, and sales to translate consumer insights into successful products.
- Apply expertise in food processing technologies such as vacuum pack, pasteurisation, retort, IQF, and MAP.
- Partner with suppliers and chefs to trial ingredients, assess new technologies, and balance authenticity with processing feasibility.
- Conduct structured sensory evaluations and track global protein trends to adapt for Indian consumers.
- Troubleshoot plant trials and optimize scale-up processes with manufacturing partners.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or related fields.
- 3–5 years of R&D/product development experience in processed/packaged foods, FMCG, QSR, ingredients, or D2C companies (meat product experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of formulation, functional ingredients, and food processing technologies.
- Familiarity with FSSAI, HACCP, and GMP food safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
