Job Overview
As an SC QC Associate at PepsiCo, you will be responsible for ensuring the best product quality and minimizing customer complaints through stringent online quality control checks and finished product inspections. The role involves implementing global quality systems, conducting analytical tests, troubleshooting during production, and ensuring compliance with GMP
, GLP, HACCP, and other audit requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct online quality checks in the process area to ensure PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay standards are maintained.
- Perform visual inspections of critical equipment (Peelers, Fryers, Slicers, Conveyors, Seasoning Tumblers).
- Monitor potato peeling, slice thickness, and surface moisture at regular intervals.
- Decide on process adjustments, including the introduction of anti-foaming agents or blanching.
- Ensure optimal fryer oil usage through analytical testing (FFA, OV, PV, taste, and odor).
- Check fried chips hourly for key TPD parameters (oil %, soft centers, blisters, flakes, clusters).
- Conduct packaging checks for air leakage, weight, batch printing, and air fill compliance.
- Perform nitrogen flushing tests and random packaging film quality checks.
- Communicate corrective actions to operators, shift in-charges, and production managers promptly.
- Participate in root cause and failure analysis to prevent recurring quality issues.
- Support external and internal audits, ensuring full compliance with quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech in Food Technology
- Skills: Strong knowledge of quality systems, GMP, HACCP, analytical testing, and food process audits
- Experience: Prior experience in food manufacturing/quality assurance preferred
