Project Overview
The selected candidate will work on the project: “Assessment of Bioavailability of Microplastics in Soils and Their Remediation through Biochar Prepared from Locally Available Agro-Horti Refuse in Assam, North East India.” This project is part of the wider Biotechnology JRF Opportunity for 2025, aiming to tackle significant environmental issues.
This project aims to:
- Study the bioavailability of microplastics in agricultural soils.

Position Details
- Designation: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

- Monthly Pay: Rs. 37,000
- HRA: 20% (Rs. 7,400)
- Medical Allowance: Rs. 1,250
- Duration: 3 months (initial appointment, extendable based on project needs)

- Minimum Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences (M.Sc.) or professional courses (M.Tech) in fields related to Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agricultural Chemistry, Soil Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar streams. - Selection Requirement: Candidates must have qualified through at least one of the following:

- Maintain detailed experimental records and reports in compliance with IITG standards.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure the timely completion of milestones.
