What You Will Be Doing
As a Data Specialist – Ingredients, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, globally consistent ingredient-level data. This includes recipe formulation, Digital Share of Shelf (DSS) validation, and regulatory alignment. You will ensure accuracy, comparability, and continuous improvement of global datasets while supporting insights and client success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and validate ingredient-level recipes across markets.
- Conduct DSS quality checks to review scraped data accuracy.
- Perform global data validation and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Document data workflows, rules, and QA processes for scalability.
- Support insights by identifying ingredient patterns and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to maintain accuracy and automation opportunities.
What You’ll Need
- Degree in biotechnology, life sciences, food science, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of ingredients and regulatory applications.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with dataset experience.
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration across global teams.
- Comfort in engaging with clients and supporting insights.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Interest in AI, automation, and quality assurance.
- Experience with Python, SQL, R, or VBA.
- Exposure to web scraping or taxonomy-driven data models.
