The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the engagement of Young Professionals. This initiative provides young and dynamic individuals with the opportunity to gain exposure to various programs and activities of DBT while contributing to India’s biotechnology growth.
Position Details:
- Name of the Position: Young Professional
- Number of Positions: 04 (Four)
- Educational Qualifications: M.Sc./ B.Tech in Biotechnology / Computational Biology / Bio-Statistics
- Age Limit: Below 35 years as on the date of advertisement
- Period of Contract: 2 years (extendable up to 5 years, one year at a time)
- Remuneration: ₹40,000/- per month (fixed, inclusive of taxes)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year in scientific project work in Biotechnology, OR
- Minimum 1 year in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
- Experience requirement may be relaxed in case of Ph.D candidates in Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Computational Biology

The terms and conditions for engaging Young Professionals will be in accordance with the DBT guidelines. The number of positions may vary based on requirements, and the Department reserves the right to cancel the engagement process without assigning any reason.
Job Description: Young Professionals will be required to provide high-quality inputs in the specific areas of responsibility assigned by the Division Head. This includes collection,
compilation, tabulation and dissemination of various information related to ongoing Research projects, SocioEconomic Impact Analysis of Research projects, providing administrative support for project-related work and organize meeting/workshops.

The terms and conditions for engagement of Young Professionals will be as per the DBT guidelines (enclosed). The number of positions for Young Professionals may vary as per requirement. The Departrnent also reserves the right to cancel the engagement process without assigning any reason.
