Job Description
Corteva is seeking a Territory Production Lead to oversee hybrid seed corn production operations across a designated territory. This role ensures high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of seed volumes while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Agriculture Jobs at Corteva – Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution
- Organize and deliver targeted seed production volumes that meet quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate field operations: planting, detasseling, pollination, harvesting, and post-harvest.
- Manage seed production acres with growers and apply optimal crop placement strategies.
- Grower Relations & Training
- Identify grower leaders and suitable villages for hybrid seed production.
- Train growers and field staff on agronomic best practices and quality standards.
- Build strong grower relationships, ensuring timely support and payments.
- Quality & Compliance
- Implement and monitor quality systems for seed production.
- Oversee crop stages, pest/disease control, and irrigation.
- Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities.
- Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead agronomists, NFTEs (Non-Farm Technical Experts), and seasonal staff.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Seed Production Research, and Plant Operations teams.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Submit accurate field data and timely reports.
- Perform post-season yield analysis using GIS tools.
- Track competitor activities and collect market intelligence.
Agriculture Jobs at Corteva – Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Agriculture, Agronomy, Seed Science & Technology, Plant Breeding, or related fields.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in field corn seed production.
- Proven expertise in hybrid seed corn agronomy and rural engagement.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of maize crop management, pest control, and agricultural inputs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
