Position Details
POST I
Scientific Officer ‘SB’ (Biochemistry)
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
- Pay Level: Rs.47,600/- (Level 08) + allowances
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Qualification: M.Sc. (Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology) with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year post-PG experience in a Clinical Laboratory of a large hospital/diagnostic centre. Should know about Biochemistry auto analyzers and interpretation of Serum Protein Electrophoresis.
POST II
Scientific Officer ‘SB’ (Transfusion Medicine)
- No. of Posts: 02 (01-UR, 01-OBC)
- Pay Level: Rs.47,600/- (Level 08) + allowances
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Qualification: M.Sc. (Biochemistry/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology/Microbiology) with minimum 50% marks and a Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or Blood Bank Technology.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an FDA-licensed Blood Bank.
POST III
Scientific Officer ‘C’ (HLA & Immunogenetics Laboratory)
- No. of Posts: 01 (OBC)
- Pay Level: Level 10 (₹56,100 + allowances)
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Essential Qualification: PhD/ M.Sc. (Life Sciences / Applied Biology)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Molecular Biology.
POST III
Scientific Officer ‘SB’ (Haematopathology)
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
- Pay Level: Level 08 (₹47,600 + allowances)
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Essential Qualification: Postgraduate Degree in Biological Sciences, including Biotechnology or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a Haematopathology laboratory or clinical flow cytometry.
- Location: New Chandigarh / Sangrur
POST IV
Scientific Officer ‘SB’ (Pathology)
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
- Pay Level: Level 08 (₹47,600 + allowances)
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. (Botany / Zoology / Biochemistry / Applied Biology / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology) OR
- M.Tech (Biotechnology / Life Sciences) with minimum 60% marks AND Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Experience: At least 1 year in Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry, or Molecular Pathology in a large hospital/diagnostic centre.
- Desirable: Proficiency in English, computer skills, QA & accreditation processes.
