The National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), a premier research institute under the Government of India, is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate-I (Project) in a SERB-funded project titled “Role of PI3K/Akt Signaling in Spinocerebellar Ataxia-3 in Drosophila Model.” This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong background in life sciences or related fields to contribute to cutting-edge neuroscience research. The role offers hands-on experience in molecular biology and Drosophila model studies under the guidance of Dr. M. Dhruba Singh, Scientist IV at NBRC.

  • Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.
  • Desirable Qualification: Experience in basic molecular biology techniques; Experience in Drosophila handling is desirable.
  • Fellowship: ₹ 31,000/- + 08% HRA pm for qualified candidates with national level examination qualifications; ₹ 25,000/- + 08% HRA pm for others.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years
  • Project Investigator: Dr. M. Dhruba Singh, Scientist IV, NBRC
  • Tenure: One year, renewable for one more year
  • Accommodation: Subject to availability
