The Department of Biological Sciences at IISER Mohali invites applications for the position of Research Associate on a purely temporary contract basis under a DST-funded project titled “Validation and techno-economic assessment of green energy powered CO2 to high-value chemical synthesis by integrated biobased and electrolyser technologies,” led by Dr. Sunil A. Patil.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences or Biosciences and Bioengineering, or candidates having 3 years of research & teaching experience
- Good academic track record with more than 60% marks/CGPA >6 throughout academic training/degrees, and at least one research paper in a SCI journal.
Desired qualification: Prior experience in bioreactor designing and process optimization, anaerobic microbiology, LCA and TEA, and analytical techniques – electrochemical, HPLC, GC, etc., is advantageous.
Salary (per month): INR 58,000 plus HRA as per DST project norms

- Location: Room No. 5A, Academic Block 2, IISER Mohali, SAS Nagar, Punjab
- Reporting time: 10 am
