Job Description
The Research Associate-III will be responsible for:
- Designing and carrying out independent research projects in the lab.
- Contributing to infectious disease research with a focus on mosquito-borne diseases.
- Conducting experiments involving parasitology, molecular biology, imaging, and mosquito infection models.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address scientific questions beyond the scope of a single laboratory.
- Preparing scientific reports and effectively communicating results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute research strategies aligned with the lab’s objectives.
- Maintain BSL-2 level organisms and ensure compliance with biosafety standards.
- Assist in mentoring junior researchers and contributing to collaborative projects.
- Present research outcomes in meetings, conferences, and publications.
- Work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment as a team player.
Qualifications
- PhD in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Zoology, or an equivalent field from a recognized university.
- 2–3 years of post-doctoral research experience in vectors associated with animal or human diseases.
- Prior experience in mosquito-borne disease research preferred.
- Experience handling BSL-2 level organisms is desirable.
- Strong background in parasitology, imaging, molecular biology, and mosquito infection research.
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years.
