Job Details

Position: Project Assistant

Date and Venue of Interview: 27th August 2025, Department of Life Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (not older than 2023), preferably in Neurobiology or in any discipline of Life Sciences (Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Physiology, etc.) from a recognized University with at least 60% marks.
  • Desirable Qualifications and Skills: CSIR-UGC NET (LS) qualification, hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, proficiency in MS Office, and good communication skills.

Duration of Project: 3 years or project duration

Amount of Fellowship: Rs. 35100/- per month (consolidated)

Ph.D. Enrollment: Selected candidates may be allowed to enroll in the Ph.D. program

“Unravelling the role of Irgm1 as a regulatory factor in microglial inflammatory response: Implications for Neuroinflammation in Sepsis Associated Encephalopathy, Ageing, and Neurodegenerative diseases”
