IndianOil R&D Centre, Faridabad, is inviting applications for Research Associate positions under a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) sanctioned Mission Innovation project. The project focuses on lignin valorization and aims to develop high-value green chemicals to improve biorefinery sustainability. These positions are purely temporary and offer an excellent opportunity for Ph.D. holders in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Chemistry disciplines to contribute to cutting-edge bioenergy and bioproduct research.
Advertisement for purely temporary Research Associate positions in Mission Innovation (MI), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) sanctioned research project
Applications are invited for Research Associate positions, purely on temporary basis for the implementation of the research project titled as “Bio-chemical and technological innovations to develop high value ‘green’ chemicals from 2G lignin and improve biorefinery sustainability” at IndianOil R&D Centre, Sector 13, Faridabad, Haryana. This project has been sanctioned under an open funding announcement issued by MI to invite the project proposals on identified key research area i.e. “Lignin Valorization”. Government of India has given the responsibility to Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology to coordinate the Indian MI activities.
2 Nos. of Research Associate positions on temporary basis are hereby advertised as per the requirements of the sanctioned research project grant. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project/scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project/scheme whichever is earlier, which can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. The requisite qualifications & experience etc., are given below.
1) Research Associate (RA- III) (1 no):
Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology.
- Background and experience in biological conversion of lignin into high value products through Microbial Fermentation, Microbial Bioprocessing will be preferred.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years as on the last date of application.
Emoluments: As per DBT/DST norms and the available sanctioned research project grant.
General Information:
- Applicants with relevant experience/background only need to apply.
- The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project/scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project/scheme whichever is earlier.
- Qualification should have been obtained only through regular course (not through distance mode or part time) and from recognized university/institute. Candidates with awarded degree will only be considered.
- Age relaxation up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Women & 3 Years for OBC.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
