Job Description

Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Project Associate –I in the ANRF-funded project entitled, “Unraveling the Mechanism of blue light-mediated endoplasmic reticulum stress responses in plants” of Dr. Moumita Srivastava, Scientist –C, at RGCB, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Project Title: Unraveling the Mechanism of Blue Light-Mediated Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress Responses in Plants

Essential Qualifications

  • First Class Postgraduate MSc Degree in Life Sciences (Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or related fields).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in plant tissue culture.
  • Proficiency in Western blotting, PCR, and microbial culture techniques.

Age Limit

  • Below 28 years as of 26 August 2025.
  • Age relaxation as per Government of India norms.

Emoluments

  • ₹37,000/- + 16% HRA per month (for National Eligibility Test qualified candidates).
  • ₹30,000/- + 16% HRA per month (for non-NET qualified candidates).
  • Hostel facilities will not be provided.

Duration

Initially one year, extendable based on performance until the end of the project.

Selection Process

  • Separate applications are required for multiple positions.
  • Shortlisting based on eligibility, followed by an online interview.
