Job Description:
The Assay Biologist will ensure smooth operation of multiple cell-based and biochemical assays, upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and data integrity, while meeting project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist research scientists in planning and executing molecular/cellular experiments.
- Perform various cell-based assays, including luminescence, fluorescence, FRET, and radio assays.
- Maintain adherence to EHS protocols in all lab operations.
- Attend mandatory EHS and data integrity training.
- Ensure compliance with Syngene’s quality standards and contribute to a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences or related field.
- 1–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Assay Biology.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Proficient in mammalian cell culture and biochemical assays.
- Experience with TR-FRET, HTRF, ELISA, Luminex, and other luminescence-based assays.
- Skilled in assay QC parameters, RT-PCR, Western blotting, flow cytometry, and immune phenotyping.
- Familiar with human primary cells and tissue samples.
- Proficient in data analysis using GraphPad Prism, Excel-fit, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent pipetting and liquid handling skills.
Behavioral Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Team player with the ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments.
