Job Description:
CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR-IICB), Kolkata, is hiring a Project Associate-I for the project ‘National Networking component at CSIR-IICB [GAP-472]’, sponsored by DBT. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, with tenure up to 31st March 2028. The engagement does not confer any right for regularization at CSIR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research activities related to genome analysis.
- Develop and write scripts for data analysis.
- Handle assigned projects independently.
- Support the research team in achieving project deliverables.
- Maintain proper documentation of research findings.
Qualifications:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Biochemistry or Life Sciences.
- Desirable: At least 3–4 years’ experience in analyzing genomes, writing scripts, and handling projects.
- Age Limit: 35 years (relaxation as per CSIR guidelines).
Stipend:
- Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA per month (with NET/NET(LS)/GATE/Equivalent).
- Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA per month (without NET/NET(LS)/GATE/Equivalent).
