Job Description:
The Project Assistant will support the DHR-funded project titled “Development of Peptide Mediated Antisense Oligonucleotide (PMAsO) Based Next-Generation Therapeutics for Priority Pathogens”. The role involves assisting in experimental design, laboratory work, data analysis, and maintaining project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental work related to peptide synthesis, antimicrobial studies, and nanotechnology applications.
- Assist in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and co-investigators to meet project milestones.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
-
M.Sc. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or allied subjects with at least 55% marks.
Preferred:
- UGC-NET/GATE/PU PhD (Biophysics) or other Government of India–recognized national entrance tests.
- Experience in peptide research, antimicrobial work, and nanotechnology.

Maximum 30 years.
Emoluments:
-
₹26,000 per month (consolidated) for up to three years as per DHR/ICMR or Panjab University guidelines.
