Job Description
The NEE Assistant will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting nat
ure education and extension activities of SACON. This includes organizing nature camps, managing biodiversity outreach events, and assisting with the creation of educational content for environmental awareness.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct Nature Education and Extension programs.
- Organize nature camps for schools and colleges, including weekends and public holidays.
- Maintain records of activities, visitor data, and camp statistics.
- Prepare newsletters, reports, and outreach material.
- Assist the Extension Officer in all educational and extension activities.
Qualifications
Essential:
-
Master’s degree with at least 55% in Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Science, Conservation Biology, Biodiversity Studies, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, or related fields from a recognized university.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of biodiversity, particularly birds.
- Experience in nature camps, trekking, and educational activities.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Tamil communication.
- Skills in nature photography, MS Office, and graphic design.
Age Limit:

Upper age limit: 28 years as of the application closing date, subject to relaxation as per Government of India rules.
Tenure & Remuneration
- Contract till 31.03.2026, extendable based on performance.
- Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (NET/GATE Qualified)
- Rs. 30,000/- + HRA (Non-NET/GATE)
Selection Process
- Written test and interview at SACON, Anaikatty, Coimbatore – 641 108, Tamil Nadu on 28.08.2025.
- Original documents must be presented on the test date.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test/interview.
