Job Post: Project Technical Support – I

No. of Vacancy: One

Preferred Qualifications: A year’s degree in BSc MLT/medical microbiology/general microbiology + one year of experience in the relevant subject

Experience: Fresh graduates can also apply

Age Limit: 28 years

Language: English and South Indian vernacular at least

Salary: Rs. 23,400/- per month

Location: Bengaluru

Brief Description about the Project: This is a multicenter study initiated by ICMR focusing on women

suffering from recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC). The study aims to understand the use of antifungal drugs, the behavior of vaginal bacteria/fungi, and genetic and immune factors in women with RVVC.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Processing and storage of samples received, and maintenance of laboratory records, including quality control procedures
  • Culture and identification of fungi (Candida species)
  • Antifungal susceptibility testing methods
  • Processing of blood samples for component separation
  • Molecular work
  • Obtain clinical details of recruited patients
  • Assist in research activities about Mycology
  • Data entry and correspondence with ICMR
