Internship Description
Technoculture Research is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Enzyme Development Intern to join our dynamic R&D team in Bodhgaya. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enzyme production, protein engineering, and hybrid enzymatic-electrochemical technologies.
You’ll be working at the intersection of synthetic biology, diagnostics, and sustainable chemistry, supporting active research in enzyme optimization and next-gen bio-catalytic systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in microbial expression and purification of enzymes
• Support molecular cloning and plasmid construction
• Perform basic bioinformatic analyses (e.g., sequence alignment, structure prediction)
• Set up and evaluate enzyme activity assays (in vitro and cell-free systems)
• Maintain detailed lab records of procedures and results
• Collaborate on research involving CO2 reduction and bio-electrochemical systems
Desired Skills & Experience
• Background in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques like PCR, cloning, DNA/RNA work
• Understanding of protein structure/function is a plus
• Strong willingness to learn and contribute to team-based research
• Good documentation and communication skills
Educational Qualification
• Current B.Sc. / M.Sc. students or recent graduates in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences
• Candidates with relevant academic project work or lab internships are encouraged to apply
