Position Details
CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, a premier national laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is inviting applications for Project Associate-I (PAT-I) on a temporary contractual basis. The position is part of the project “Analytical Quality Control & Quality Assurance in Rice Fortification” (GAP 640).
Position Details:
- Post: Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 1 position
- Stipend: ₹25,000 + HRA per month
- Tenure: Initially up to 31 March 2026, extendable till 31 August 2026 based on project needs
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Chemistry from a recognized university
- Candidates must have qualified before applying (results declared)
Desirable Qualification/Experience:

Experience in modern analytical instruments, method validation, and MS Office tools in a reputed R&D institute
Eligibility Conditions:
- Maximum age: 35 years as on 20 August 2025 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 3 years for OBC)
- Candidates with a total of 6 years or more experience as Project Staff in CSIR labs are not eligible
Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on marks, higher qualifications, and/or relevant experience
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email of the interview
- No TA/DA will be provided
