Core Purpose of the Role
The Bioassay Analyst will support the development, validation, and routine testing of bioassays and ELISA for large molecules, especially monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). The role includes stability testing and method development for drug substances and drug products. Willingness to work in shifts is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and validate cell-based assays and binding assays (ELISA) for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs)

Troubleshoot method-related issues
-
Perform routine testing using SEC, CGE, and maintain raw data, protocols, and SOPs
-
Handle various cell lines, including primary and continuous lines as Analyst
-
Prepare mammalian cell banks for bioassays
-
Follow Good Documentation Practices (ALCOA+)
-
Analyze assay results using software such as SoftMax Pro, PLA
-
Manage QMS activities including incidents, deviations, and change controls
-
Maintain reagent and chemical inventory
-
Work in GxP/GMP-compliant environments and follow Syngene SOPs
-
Operate QC instruments like HPLC, UPLC, GC (calibration and qualification)

Communicate with international clients via email as Analyst

Prepare documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards
Required Experience
2–6 years in a GMP quality control environment with hands-on expertise in bioassay/ELISA methods and large molecule analytics as Analyst.
Skills and Capabilities

Strong command of cell-based bioassay development and validation

Hands-on experience in SEC, CGE, HPLC method development

Proficiency in MS Office, documentation, and email communication

Familiarity with GxP guidelines, ALCOA+ principles as Analyst

Basic knowledge of chromatography and spectroscopy techniques

Good interpersonal and time-management skills

Educational Qualifications
M. Pharm / M. Tech / M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry with 2–6 years of relevant QC experience in a GMP environment as Analyst.
