Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PhD Scientist to lead
and drive key research initiatives within our CAR T Cell Therapy program. You will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to develop novel CAR/TE/SDC constructs, optimize manufacturing processes, and enhance the efficacy/safety profile of our next-generation immunotherapy products. This is a hands-on laboratory leadership role requiring deep technical expertise and scientific creativity.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead independent research projects focused on CAR design, T Cell Engagers design, SDC design, Lentiviral vector engineering, T-cell engineering, and functional characterization.
- Design and execute complex in vitro and potentially in vivo experiments to evaluate CAR T-cell & other immunotherapy molecules’ functions (cytotoxicity, cytokine release, proliferation, exhaustion markers etc.).
- Develop and optimize protocols for CAR T-cell manufacturing, transduction/transfection, expansion, and cryopreservation.
- Utilize advanced techniques including multi-parameter flow cytometry, molecular biology (cloning, qPCR), cell-based assays, and mice studies.
- Analyze complex datasets, interpret results, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose innovative solutions.
- Contribute to target identification and validation strategies for new CAR T programs.
- Maintain detailed experimental records, prepare technical reports, and present findings internally and externally.
- Mentor junior scientists and research associates.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements in CAR T-cell therapy and related fields.
- Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and regulatory documents (e.g., IND sections).
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and protocols.
Essential Qualifications:
- PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct, hands-on post-PhD research experience in the CAR T-cell therapy field within an academic, biotech, or pharmaceutical setting.
- Deep technical expertise in T-cell biology and immunology.
- Proven hands-on experience with key techniques such as primary human T-cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and more.
