Main Responsibilities for Scientific Writer Role
The overall purpose and main responsibilities are listed below:

Create specialized content with limited supervision.

Support end-to-end publication/medical education content development including documentation and approval in PromoMats/iEnvision.

Develop and maintain therapeutic area expertise as Scientific Writer.

Collaborate closely with peers/team to develop best practices and stakeholder communication.
People:
-
Maintain effective relationships with the medical/scientific community for allocated product/BU.

Interact with healthcare professionals on publication content as Scientific Writer.

Assist other writers by sharing expertise and developing knowledge.
Performance:

Deliver publication/medical education materials (slide deck, abstract, poster, manuscript, etc.) on time and with quality.

Provide strategic support with institutions for publication purposes.
Process:

Develop complex publication/medical education material.

Support scientific communication and become a subject matter expert in the therapeutic area as Scientific Writer.

Conduct publication-needs analysis and support implementation of the publication plan.

Coordinate with regional vendors for deliverables.

Improve content delivery based on feedback.
Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with scientific communication teams to identify publication needs.

Liaise with Product Managers, MSLs, and the medical department for customized content as Scientific Writer.
Qualification & Skills for Scientific Writer Role:

Experience: Minimum 2 years in content creation within pharma, healthcare, or academia.

Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, communication, and teamwork skills.

Technical Skills: Therapeutic area/domain knowledge, publication submission, and/or project management.

Education: Advanced degree in life sciences/pharmacy or medical degree.

Languages: Excellent written and spoken English.
