Job Title: QC Microbiologist (Sr. Officer / Executive)

Department: Quality Control – Microbiology

Job Responsibilities:

1. Media Preparation & Consumption
   o Prepare microbiological media as per approved SOPs.
   o Maintain detailed and accurate records of media preparation and consumption.

2. Media Sterilization & Documentation
   o Perform sterilization processes (e.g., autoclaving) using validated techniques.
   o Document all sterilization activities with precision and compliance.

3. Media Inventory Management
   o Track and manage inventory of microbiological media.
   o Ensure proper labeling, storage, and usage documentation.

4. Growth Promotion Test (GPT)
   o Execute GPT for all prepared media to confirm its efficacy.
   o Record results as per regulatory and company standards.

5. Autoclave Operation & Monitoring
   o Operate and monitor autoclaves for sterilization procedures.
   o Maintain logs for cycle parameters, validation checks, and maintenance.

6. Routine Microbiological Analysis
   o Perform standard microbiological tests (e.g., bioburden, environmental monitoring, water testing).
   o Accurately document findings and observations.

7. Instrument Calibration
   o Calibrate laboratory instruments (e.g., balances, water baths) as per schedule.
   o Maintain traceable calibration records for audit readiness.

8. Media Reconciliation
   o Reconcile used and unused media with inventory and usage logs.
   o Ensure complete traceability for internal audits and compliance.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and GMP guidelines
• Experience with aseptic techniques and autoclave operation
• Good documentation practices (GDP)
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and calibration procedures
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
