CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, invites applications for 08 project-based research positions under the CSIR Mission Mode Project “Bioresource Conservation and Prospection (MMP025302)”. Project Title: “Bioresource Conservation and Prospection (MMP025302)”

Applications are invited from talented and motivated candidates for a Mission-Mode project, sanctioned by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, entitled “Bioresource Conservation and Prospection (MMP025302)”. The details of the post are as follows:

Project Assistant-II (PA-II): 02 Posts

Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in any subject/Branch from a recognized university or equivalent

Monthly Emoluments (in ₹): ₹20,000/- + HRA

Age Limit: 35 years

Project Associate-I (PAT-I): 04 Posts

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Botany/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Physiology from a recognized university or equivalent

Desirable: Experience in the analysis of Plant samples

Monthly Emoluments (in ₹):

  • ₹31,000/- + HRA for candidates qualified in CSIR-UGC/ ICAR/ ICMR NET, incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR national level exams by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST

  • ₹25,000/- + HRA for others

Age Limit:

35 years*

Senior – PAT: 02 Posts

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Botany/Plant Science/ Biological Sciences/Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology

Desirable:

  • Minimum three publications in SCI journals

  • The selected candidates will work on physiological, biochemical, molecular biology, and biotechnology-related project activities in the CSIR Mission Mode project “Bioresource Conservation and Prospection (MMP025302)”.

Monthly Emoluments (in ₹): ₹42,000/- + HRA

Age Limit: 40 years*

*Relaxation in age/qualification as per CSIR norms.

These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects, either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar, or different Labs/Institutes of CSIR, taken together, shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate to claim extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
