Applications are invited for a temporary position of Project Scientist-1, sanctioned for the project funded by the Gates Foundation, at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine, Bengaluru – 560 065.

Essential Qualification: PhD Degree in Life Sciences from a recognised university or equivalent. Experience: • Research requiring cell biology techniques including culturing routine cell lines, maintenance of stocks and transfection. • Cell viability, toxicity and immunostaining with antibodies. • Protein extraction, Biochemical and biophysical methods to characterize the isolated proteins with desirable properties. • Plan experiments, order reagents, and adhere to protocols. • Routine molecular biology work such as cloning, nucleic acid isolation, and sanger sequencing. • Regular data analyses, project updates, literature surveys and presentations on the target. • Participate in project team meetings and contribute to the projects intellectually. |

Tenure: Contractual appointment for eleven months, renewable based on the requirement and review of progress and the requirement of the Grant.
